Renowned German trade fair organiser, Koelnmesse, invites Australia and New Zealand wine and gourmet food exporters to exhibit in the 8th presentation of Wine & Gourmet Japan, 12-14 April 2017, Tokyo Big Sight.
Since its premiere in 2009, Wine & Gourmet Japan has quickly established itself as the country's leading trade fair focused on wine, beer, spirits, confectionery and gourmet food. The strategic co-location of Wine & Gourmet Japan andJapan Food Journal's FABEX, Dessert, Sweets, Bakery & Drink Festival, Japan Meat Industry Fair, Japan Noodles Industry Fair, Halal Market Fair and PB-OEM attracted an impressive total of 908 companies at the recent 2016 presentation. Wine & Gourmet Japan presented 181 exhibitors from 22 countries with 64% coming from overseas. 75,845 trade visitors came from different provinces of Japan and abroad to do business with new and "old" suppliers.
Wine Kingdom, partner of Wine & Gourmet Japan since its debut in 2009 and one of the major Japanese magazines specialising in wine, continued to add significant value to the event with their interactive sessions at the Wine Pairing programme.
Australian companies, with a strong reputation of quality wine, food safety regime and exceptional design appeal (with Lambert Estate Wines winning one of the coveted Wine Label Design Awards in 2016 show) continued to attract importers, distributors, retailers and buyers from the hospitality trade at the 2016 event and anticipate another strong showing at Wine & Gourmet Japan 2017.
