The Honourable Gladys Berejiklian MP, Premier of New South Wales, Australia, will undertake her first international mission to Japan as Premier from 20 to 23 August 2017.
NSW counts Japan among its closest friends, a longstanding relationship built on personal and business connections formed in a large part by members of ANZCCJ over many decades. Innovation, infrastructure and finance are areas of natural partnership for NSW and Japan, which has long been a global leader in developing new technologies.

About the Premier of NSW
Ms Berejiklian was elected Leader of the NSW Parliamentary Liberal Party on 23 January 2017 and sworn in as the 45th Premier of New South Wales. She had previously served as NSW Treasurer and Minister for Industrial Relations since April 2015.
Prior to that, she was appointed NSW Minister for Transport in March 2011 and served in that role for four years.
Ms Berejiklian is the State's first female Liberal leader.
