Fonterra Japan was established as a sales and marketing company in Japan through the merger of two predecessor companies in 2000. The company has been developing Japan’s dairy ingredient business, centered on cheese, functional dairy protein, and powdered milk preparation products.At present, Fonterra Japan imports about 130000 tons per year, accounting for about 30% of Japan’s cheese and 40% of the milk protein.
